Plant Identification:
- Growth form: multistemmed, deciduous shrub; upright to rounded shape; 8' to 10' tall and 6' to 10' wide
- Leaves: simple and opposite; obovate to broad-elliptic leaves; dark green; scalloped margins resulting in coarse, irregular teeth
- Flower: small, creamy-white in flattened clusters; bloom May to early June
- Fruit: bright red; flattened clusters
