Reynoutria japonica: Japanese knotweed
Plant Identification:
- Growth form: herbaceous perennial dicot that grows 10+ feet tall in dense stands that exclude almost all other vegetation
- Leaf: alternate, about 6 inches long, 3-4 inches wide, broadly oval to somewhat triangular with a tapered tip
- Flowers: tiny green-white flowers
- Fruit: winged on three sides, 2-4 mm
