Be sure and mark your calendars
Be sure and mark your calendars for July 26, 2017 for the next Lower Hudson PRISM Public Meeting and group hike! We would love to get a head count of everyone who plans on attending either hike or meeting.
The group hike will take place before the meeting amongst the beautiful Schunemunk Mountains! We will meet at the parking lot at 10:00 AM 340-400 Otterkill Rd, New Windsor, NY. and the hike is ~90 minutes of steep, uneven terrain. After the hike we’ll proceed to Orange County Land Trust to eat our lunches and network. Bring a lunch and get to know your PRISM partners!
The meeting will take place from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Orange County Land Trust, located at 50 Ogden Dr, New Windsor, NY 12553. If you cannot attend the meeting in person but would still like to be involved, we will also have the meeting streaming live as a webinar. Details will follow with confirmation email. Be sure to sign-up at the following link so we know to send you follow-up details.

Here are a few items on the meeting agenda you won’t want to miss:
We’ll be sharing updates on our work this season to-date towards meeting our Lower Hudson PRISM goals and objectives.
Dr. Christina Andruk will present an update her and her students’ work on Corydalis incisa (Incised fumewort). This new invasive species was first found in the Bronx in 2005 and was later discovered in Westchester County in 2014. Our PRISM has been working to understand this species and control it since then.
Joyce Tomaselli of CCE Dutchess County will give us an update on the Blockbuster Survey 2017 training sessions. We had an amazing turnout of dedicated volunteers and we are excited to see what our trainees find (and hopefully don’t find)!
